Adjustable External Voltage Regulator Installation

Install an adjustable external voltage regulator yourself and save some money!

NOTE:
This video assumes you already know what voltage is necessary for your vehicle. Voltage that is too low will not charge your battery, and voltage that is too high can destroy the battery and other components of the vehicle’s electrical system. Perform this modification (and all others) at your own risk.

• A couple of socket wrenches
• Socket extension
• 10mm socket
• 3/8 socket
• 7mm socket
• 12mm wrench (10mm for factory battery terminals)
• Pliers
• Dikes
• Wire strippers
• Tiny flat head screwdriver
• Center punch
• Magnetic bowl
• Multimeter
• Circuit tester
• Heat gun
• Power drill
• 5/32 drill bit
For this job I also needed:
• Heat shrink tubing
• Dielectric grease
• Bungee cord
• Wire with alligator clip ends
• Paint marker
• Quick splice wire connector
• And sandpaper (400 grit or less)
