The concern your department noted in #5 is the duration of exposure within shared space within the classroom. You are demanding mask to alleviate this concern, however, we know mask do not work. Even the CDC’s data states the scientific evidence is mixed as their most recent report glosses over many unanswered scientific questions. The CDC stated- I quote “evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect of transmission” End quote.

A 2019 guidance document provided by the World Health Organization reported about face masks- I quote “there is no evidence that this is effective in reducing transmission” End quote

Further, there was a study in Sweden regarding unmasked children 16 and under. Jonas Ludvigson studied 1.95 million school children who were not wearing mask at school. He reported the number of infections and hospitalizations was exceedingly low and Zero deaths- ZERO- out of almost 2 million children even though there were no school wide mask mandates.

See this cloth mask, this is the type of mask most of our children wear to school. The package states it does not protect against the transmission of viruses. It stops goobers! Our schools have cleaning protocols to take care of that. Gaylord School District had a well thought out plan to keep our children safe and respect individual rights. Your department slapped us in the face. Please rescind this order.
