Building a Box | DIY

I have built a lot of things. Some of them even look nice and are functional. But I have never built a box, which seems like such a basic woodworking project. I'm not up to do any decent joinery, but I can handle some glue and 45 degree angles.Show more

This box took more work than it should have, because the scrap wood was all sorts or bowed and warped, and a couple of my cuts could have been cleaner. I ended up using some dowels to hold the corners together, but then got carried away with that, and ended up with 6 feet of dowel stuck through the box.

In the end, it turned out ok, it definitely is a bit rough and could be a lot better, but I think it will be great for the project I have in mind. I am working on an idea for this box, so it will be back for a future DIY project.
