Ultra Street Fighter II Online Ranked Matches (Recorded on 8/11/17)

It has been a while since I've uploaded Ultra Street Fighter II footage, but there's a reason for that. I was having a seriously hard time competing at the higher ranks using the Pro Controller. The stupid D-pad on that thing was messing up so many moves, and the button layout wasn't helping either. These problems, combined with the persistent lag, caused me to swear off any more online matches until the Switch's official arcade stick released. I felt that this was a better temporary solution to my problem than, say, smashing the god damn Pro Controller on the ground.

Luckily, my controller problem is now over. I received my arcade stick from Amazon two days ago, and this thing rocks. I've used joysticks for prior generations of Nintendo consoles (NES, SNES and Nintendo 64), but I've never owned one like this before. This new arcade stick from Hori is built like the controls on an actual arcade cabinet, and it even has the old turbo functionality as well. The most important thing though, is that the joystick allows me to pulls off special moves much easier, and the arcade button layout gives me quick and easy access to every type of attack.

While I'm still getting used to the feeling of the arcade stick, I can say for sure that I'm playing better overall. However, I'm still messing up the super moves on occasion, and I need to work on my strategy a lot more.

In any event, I'm simply overjoyed to finally be able to play Street Fighter II online with a proper controller, so hopefully I'll be uploading Ultra Street Fighter II footage consistently again. Here are some of my better matches from yesterday.

Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Switch's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Real Arcade Pro V Hayabusa joystick.
