Basically, these birds feed on fruits, plant shoots, nuts and insects. True, hard-to-gnawing nuts and seeds with a hard shell are considered a special delicacy for them, they often gnaw the fruit, choose the seeds, and leave the pulp intact. Under natural conditions, cockatoos live in a flock, but once a year they form pairs, after the appearance of chicks, in the upbringing of which both parents take part, namely, 2 months after that, the family breaks up and everything is back in the flock. Often the cockatoo is a domestic bird that lends itself well to training, but you need to know that these birds should not be allowed to be bored, otherwise they will begin to pluck themselves. These parrots live a very long time: from sixty to eighty years!
