It is common for individuals to visit waterfalls only for the sake of seeing them. Their beauty, according to Hudson, and their rarity make them ideal tourist destinations. Aquatic sports and photography are popular activities that may be enjoyed at waterfalls. Also, waterfalls may serve as a source of hydroelectric power and provide excellent fishing. Even in ancient Rome and China, wealthy individuals were known to travel to places containing waterfalls. The landscape around many waterfalls, on the other hand, kept them inaccessible until improvements such as walkways were constructed.Before pathways to the falls became commonplace across the United Kingdom and America, in the 1800s, and continued into the 1900s and 21st century, many waterfalls were nearly impossible to reach because of their hazardous terrain. Today, plane travel is a common way to reach remote waterfalls.
