Episode 38: What is this? Woodland Mills Sawmill setup!

Bryce and Angel decide to get a sawmill. The Woodland Mills HM122 arrived a month ago and it took a while to find a Saturday where we could get this setup. The HM122 is no easy task at setting up. I believe you could set the entire thing up, with a second person who reads manuals, in about 6 hours. Two people are pretty much needed. Find someone and tell them you’ll you’ll buy them fast food or something. In my case I gave my brother a jar of homemade sauerkraut!

We use the RK25 to lift the head of the sawmill onto the track. Necessary? no, but it sure makes things easier.

I chose this sawmill after watching many other videos. Price-wise It’s not a lot more than the Harbor Freight and I believe it is built better. The HF model can be made well but you will have to do some engineering work - check out Walnuts and Wineberries on this - and it will work just fine. I chose this one because it has the wheel cleaners built in, the aluminum tank and a 4 leg support rather than two. I believe the crank handle may be better also, but not sure.
