Gurkha Status Torpedo Maduro Cigar Review

This 6.5x52 stick features a very dark brown softly packed wrapper with slight mottling, small veins, tight invisible seams, an oily paper bag like texture and mild cedar aroma. First light reveals a good draw with plumes of thick mild-medium bodied smoke showing flavors of a slightly bitter cocoa and damp earth on the long finish. The first third burns perfectly dropping the ash in a solid chunk with a razor sharp line. Time is quick through! Flavors quickly transitioned to a cherry and grass on the very smooth draw with a slight cinnamon on the long but subtle finish. The 1/2 way point comes very fast at just 20 minutes with no flavor changes at all through the rest of the cigar. Ending at just 45 minutes performance was perfect other than the very fast burn.
