Gurkha Heritage Toro Cigar Review
This 6.5x52 stick features a ceday sleeve, under which is a dark brown firm wrapper with a dry toothy feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and a rich sweet cocoa aroma. First light reveals a medium bodied smoke with fleeting flavors of a slight sweetness, smooth vegetal sweetness and a tiny bit of earth and pepper left on the finish. The first third wakes up giving a smooth, oily sweet cedar and cocoa on the draw with a pepper and spice combo through the long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the body mellows a bit to a mild-medium, the draw flavors remain unchanged but the finish is completely different. Dropping the spice and most of the pepper, it's dominated by the smooth sweet cedar to the next draw. Ending at 1:10 the last third changes quite a bit, going back to a medium body the draw gives a bright vanilla and cinnamon followed by a bit of the cedar finished by a warm nuttiness.
