An Austin police officer will not face charges for the fatal shooting of a car burglary suspect last April who shot him. The Travis County District Attorney's Office says a grand jury made the decision Wednesday. The shooting happened Sunday, April 3, just after 11 a.m. in a parking lot in the 500 block of West Avenue. Darrin Martin, 25, had been spotted burglarizing vehicles in a parking garage at the Austin City Lofts on 5th Street, police say.
