I take a first look at the deep state split behind the withdrawal and the question of this being only the first act in a longer play. I start with Kim Iversen also posing this question, but as always founded on a false worldview, and then move on to Cultural Neocon Sam Harris, who gives us an anti-withdrawal take that includes an unexpected gem, a preemptive "anti-Jain" attack on the right and left extremes who are really the homes of anti-war and anti-neoconservatism in the US.

I managed to run out of time at the end, as always, and what I failed to get in was that Freiheit was doing was exactly what they had been talking about re the NYTimes, including the important information but also burying it. He say exactly what the war in Iraq was really all about but in a sideways manner, and none of the others end up picking up on that, they just move on to other things. And he seems to be amused by having done that.
