My goal of these wilderness trail videos is to 1) show reverence for the beauty of the land, and 2) give YOU actionable trail information that can assist you in planning your own hike here.

This was a day-hike in Central Oregon, Mount Jefferson Wilderness, starting at Jack Lake Trailhead to Canyon Creek Meadows to Wasco Lake to a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail to the edge of the old growth forest as our natural turnaround spot. Total distance was around 15.1 miles roundtrip, Weather was low of 30 degrees, high of 61 degrees, was a very windy but mostly blue sky day. This was hiked on 8/30/2021, trail was completely clear of snow, and there were NO Mosquitoes! On Alltrails these hikes are called "Canyon Creek Meadows" and "Wasco Lake" and the PCT portion is part of "Three Fingered Jack Loop". As far as road conditions, there is about the last 7 miles of the road that has gravel, is bumpy, and is a bit washboarded in a few sections. Definitely not the worst forest road I've ever driven on, in my opinion the road DOES NOT require 4-Wheel Drive, just drive cautiously and be prepared for a bit of bumpiness. You see all sorts of cars at the trailhead, from SUV's to sedans.
