It’s been 20 years since a bright September morning quickly turned into one of the darkest, most horrific days in history. On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered by terrorists. The brutal scenes that played out that day are forever engraved into the minds and hearts of many, but, as ACLJ Senior Military Analyst Colonel Wes Smith and ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy Ric Grenell explain, in the midst of the turmoil the American spirit and the will to fight were evident.
