Near-Death Experience - Natalie Sudman - Be Careful What You Wish For

"I can't tell you how many times I hear 'I want the NDE without the ND [near death] part.' But there's lots of ways to remember who we are. You don't need to do the ND part. A lot of people want the flashy, spiritually transformative experience of an NDE or something that happens that changes their whole life in an instant. Well, when you have that, unless you have already done the work before you had that experience, you're going to have to do that work after that experience."

"A spiritually transformative experience is not always just magic. It can be very disruptive. And very, very difficult afterwards. It may not always be, but it can be. 'Be careful what you wish for,' is what I am saying. [A flashy, spiritual experience] may not be the best way for you. You may be working your way along slowly, slowly, and you may be a lot farther along than you think you are. Just keep going. It's your path. It's your path, and your path is valuable for you. Their path is not valuable for you."

Natalie worked as an archeologist in the Great Basin states for sixteen years before accepting a position managing construction contracts in Iraq. As a female civilian employee of the Army Corps of Engineers in Basrah and Nasiriyah, Iraq, she was riding in a truck when a roadside bomb destroyed the vehicle. As a result of the severe injuries her body received from this roadside bomb, Natalie had a near-death experience where she left her body and entered the spirit world. There it was decided that her work on Earth was not done and with the help of spirit guides, they repaired the body so she could reenter it. She retained the conscious memory of what happened and during the time in the hospital, more details returned. Before this experience, Sudman was dubious about anything that smacked of the paranormal. This experience made her a believer.

After being injured in Iraq, Natalie retired from government service. She is now enjoying art, writing, and continuing explorations into the non-physical. Natalie has also been a subject of studies performed by the University of Virginia’s Division of Perceptual Studies, and welcomes invitations to act as a lab rat for any scientific investigation. Describing herself as an open-minded skeptic, Natalie finds that the rigorous methodology of science appeals to her critical mind, while her artistic nature enjoys the expansive freedom of leaving behind the critical mind in frequent forays into the non-physical. She maintains that an irreverent sense of humor and a willingness to look foolish are the cornerstones of constructive exploration.

Raised in Minnesota, Natlie Sudman has lived most of her adult life in eastern Oregon, Montana and South Dakota. She recently moved to southern Arizona.
