Mirshad who was born and raised in Kandy formed Paranoid Earthling with his schoolmates in the late 90s. Originally conceptualized as an Electronica project but PE became a Grunge, Hard Rock band heavily influenced by bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Marilyn Manson, and Nine Inch Nails. After performing in Sri Lanka and abroad for over a decade Paranoid Earthling has become one of the biggest rock bands in the country today.

Mirshad talks about early influences, growing up in Kandy, forming Paranoid Earthling, Rock Company days, writing and producing music, releasing music videos. He also shares experiences of touring in India and Afghanistan. Mirshad also promises to release the long-awaited PE debut album soon after the pandemic.
