Senior citizens are especially susceptible to food insecurity. In 2019, 5.2 million Americans, over the age of 60, had limited access to food. Phoenix Family, a local non-profit organization, is serving over 1,200 seniors in the Kansas City Metropolitan area to help combat this public health crisis.
