14 Year Old Arrested For Assaulting A LEO

Brunswick, Ohio -- A School Resource Officer (SRO) with the Brunswick Police Department received a complaint about a student who was refusing to take her earphones out during class. The school then attempted to take her phone which she declined and the SRO and another officer got involved.

The suspect then attempted to leave the school building and was stopped by officers. Officers activated their cameras after the suspect tried to kick an officer.

From the information provided, the 14 year old suspect has a history with the law and is currently on juvenile parole.

The suspect was charged with:
- Assault on a Police Officer

Because the suspect is a juvenile, I'm unable to check their status in court. However, I assume it has been handled as Brunswick PD doesn't release any videos until it finishes in court.
