Headlines Expose Biased News Slanted One Way

Headlines for two different news agencies on an AOL news feed are the perfect example of how bias news sources have become in the United States. A headline for CBS News reads “Newly released Capital riot videos show police battling the mob”. In this headline, the police are considered heroes fighting for the safety of the nation. Scrolling just below that headline on AOL’s app, another news article by the Kansas City Star reads “Kansas City police officer ‘violently’ threw man to ground in wrongful arrest”. In this second news article, the police are portrayed as villains that the general public need to fear.

Though the two news sources are separate, this contrast in reporting could well show what type of news sources large companies like AOL have available to show on their app - if the police are fighting an enemy that goes against the leftist agenda, they are praised by most news sources. If the police are having a confrontation with the common man on the street, they are vilified. This seems to show how much of news sources are controlled by leftists, leading to severe bias and distorted information.
