Here's a simple way to test if your filters are working properly after you've adjusted the DNS on your wi-fi router. You can use a sample list of abortion-seller's websites to see if they're blocked. You'll either get the FreeFiltering block page or an error message related to the security certificate (this is nothing to worry about!). If you see either of these, your filters are working! If you see the page you requested, something's not right.
