Feral Parakeet Living Wild in Texas (3rd Year) ❤

Good news for my little Blue Boy feral parakeet! 🙂 He's still alive and going strong out here in the Texas summer 100+F heat, and after surviving even the Winter-zilla arctic storm where temps locally dropped to -7F and were at or below zero for 3 nights! Other bigger and more cold adapted birds like owls, mallard ducks, pigeons, and doves died - some of them right on my porch - but this little boy emerged after the snow melted and was back at my feeder again after going missing for a while and leaving me lamenting that he did not survive. But, he survives his 3rd summer in Texas, and going into his 3rd winter this year!Show more
