1st beam load test

The proa cargo ferry has advanced to the structural testing stage. This video is the first and most important structural test that has to be done. The beams and mast need to be able to lift and carry the weight of the windward hull. For the test a rope is attached to the top of the lower mast section and anchored to a tree. A winch at the bottom of the mast pulls on a block and tackle at the top of the mast giving a purchase of 20 to 1. Although the the WW hull was close to lifting the test was aborted due to the beam bending at the mast attachment and will require some redesign.
