Bondage always involves fear, Spiritual Fear

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Spiritual Fear is what you feel whenever there is an obstacle that has come between you and God.

Gen 3:6-10 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

The immediate effect of the fall was shame followed by fear.

Anytime you have an unrepentant sin, a secret sin, you always walk around in shame and spiritual fear?

Shame that someone might find out, that you may be exposed?

And spiritual fear knowing that something has come between you and God.

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 2 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

If the truth shall set you free then error will bind you, Paul said, Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear;

If you have any spiritual fear, then you are in bondage, if you are in bondage then you are in error.

The demonic hosts goal is to have you in bondage, are you bound if so repent and gain back your freedom?
