6 injured as ISIS-inspired terrorist goes on stabbing spree in New Zealand mall, shot dead by cops

An attacker inspired by the Islamic State group stabbed six people at a New Zealand supermarket on Friday before police - who had the man under surveillance - shot him dead. Police said the attack occurred when the man entered the Countdown supermarket in the city's New Lynn suburb as people were doing afternoon shopping. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern condemned the attack and said the attacker was inspired by ISIS ideology.
