Key FBI Agent Witness Arrested for Allegedly Beating His Wife

A key FBI agent in Gov. Whitmer kidnapping plot posted anti-Trump rants online during the investigation. With today's Americans for Limited Government Minute, I'm Catherine Mortensen. According to the Detroit News, federal prosecutors dropped the testimony of an FBI agent involved in the investigation of an alleged plot to kidnap Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer after finding he called former President Donald Trump a "piece of s***" on social media while the investigation was ongoing. An attorney for Brandon Caserta, who is among the six people charged in the case — said prosecutors decided not to use Agent Richard Trask's testimony during a pending October trial. Agent Trask's involvement in the case had already been complicated after he was arrested in July for allegedly beating his wife during a dispute over a swingers' party.
