Mid-August is like the kickoff for the Church's spiritual program for the Fall. It is no coincidence that the Feast of St. Maximilian Kolbe (Aug 14) overlaps into the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary. Our path to heaven, especially in this most critical moment in all of history, is given a special spotlight through the life and teaching of St.Maximilian Kolbe, the great Apostle of Marian Consecration and whom St. John Paul II gave the title "Apostle for Our Difficult Age."
