FAST RMX Online Races (Recorded on 3/3/17)

Shin'en actually managed to release FAST RMX for the Switch's launch day, so here's my first set of online races. FAST RMX is basically an expansion and upgrade of FAST Racing Neo from the Wii U, and since I recently posted playthroughs of FAST Racing Neo, I still have the courses from Neo memorized. However, it'll take me a little time to memorize the new courses that were added to RMX.

This game does feature motion controls, similar to FAST Racing Neo, but Nintendo apparently isn't releasing the official Joy-Con Wheels until April, according to Amazon UK. Without a wheel, a sideways Joy-Con is just too small for my large hands. So I'm going to be using the Pro Controller until the Wheels get released, then I'll try tilt controls again.

So far I'm noticing that Shin'en has reworked the physics and controls quite a bit to make them more intuitive and inviting. The ships seem much easier to control now, and I'm not relying the lean function anywhere near as much as I did in Neo.

While this game feels like an overall improvement over Neo, I do have one complaint: you can't select your speed class in online multiplayer. Only the subsonic class seems to be available online. FAST Racing Neo was originally like this as well, but a patch was released later on to allow people to vote for faster speed classes. Hopefully Shin'en will release a similar patch for this game.

Course list:

Tepaneca Vale (Subsonic League) - 0:33
Chuoku City (Subsonic League) - 4:06
Zenshoh Habitat (Subsonic League) - 8:07
Mueller Pacific (Subsonic League) - 11:30
Antarctica (Subsonic League) - 14:54
Pyramid Valley (Subsonic League) - 18:49
Scorpio Circuit (Subsonic League) - 22:27

Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Switch's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Switch Pro Controller.
