Way-Maker God

We have a Way-Maker God, so why do we try to go through life in our own strength? Are we struggling through life situations without asking for God’s help? What I love about the Lord, one of my favorite things is that He is a Way-Maker God. We should ask for God’s help, instead of leaning on our own human ingenuity. When we use our own smarts, leaning into our own ways, we are not in sync with God’s purposes. There is such power being aligned with the purposes of God in play, and we don’t want to step out of this purposeful flow of God. God is not in the casual doings of things, where we are just doing what we think will work, instead of waiting on God to finish what He started. That is called “grasping at straws” and it is our impulsive, impatient nature at its worst. God is doing new and different things, and we miss out on it many times by doing old traditional things that worked for us before. We don’t want to step out of our comfort zone, especially if it means waiting on God, so we just go with what worked before. Bad choice on our part! God’s purposes flow in perfect sync and timing, not casual doings. God works things out purposefully for our good and His glory. It is so cool to watch God work. We miss so much when we get impulsive and impatient waiting on God to finish what He started, and we interrupt the flow of His timely purpose by stepping in with our “bright idea” and really messing things up. Sometimes our bright ideas are not so bright, and we end up sitting in the dark in a man-made mess that we created, groping in the dark and trying to find a way out of it. Definitely, we should ask God for help, but sometimes we buck up our will. God would be so willing to do so, to step in our mess and finish what He got started, before we impulsively went off on our own. He is a Way-Maker God and can absolutely finish what He started, even if we messed up. I love that about Him. He is so willing to help us willful human beings, because He whole-heartedly wants what is best for us. Dig Deeper: https://thebridegroomscafe.com/gods-sovereignty/
