Many of us are never taught how to do a Bible Study and read the Bible like a novel. If we're honest we may be leaving our devotional time unsatisfied and confused. In this lesson Michael will show you a simple method to help you get more out of your study time and jump start ideas on digging deeper.

The 5Ws & the H method (Who, What, When Where, How) is a simple method that helps to develop investigative questions to better understand the scripture you are studying. Some tools you will need are a few different Bible translations which you can access at sites like https://www.biblegateway.com/ or by using the Bible App: https://www.bible.com/app. You may also need a few other resources on ancient history, culture, archeology and/or a very good search engine to help answer some tougher questions.

To demonstrate how this method works, Michael will be using the parable of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl found in Matthew 13:44-46. You can follow along as he generates questions from the method and shows you how to find answers. My goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. - Colossians 2:2-3
