Goldfish is one of the popular freshwater fish species in Indonesia. This beautiful fish was originally cultivated by the Chinese people around 960 to 1729.

The shape of the goldfish is almost similar to the goldfish because these two types of fish come from the same family. But the difference is, goldfish do not have a pair of barbels in the mouth.

During the reign of the Ming dynasty between 1368 and 1644, this fish with the Latin name Carrasius auratus became increasingly well known to various species of chef fish with varied and unique body shapes.

Furthermore, goldfish became known to Japan. In the Land of the Rising Sun, these fish have developed quite rapidly to produce many new species with more varied forms. The various new types of chef fish are the result of cross-breeding that continues to be developed to get fish with unique shapes and certain characteristics.

Of the several new species produced, some of them have a round body shape, short, bumpy, have long fins, to a tail that hangs like a scarf.
