Welcome to the beginning of meteorological fall, although astronomically speaking, it does not begin until September 22nd. We do lose close to 100 minutes of sunlight this month as our daylight hours drop over 3 minutes each day. High pressure is around through Thursday. Highs will be in the lower to mid 70s with a light northeast to east wind. Lakeside areas should be around 70 degrees. On Friday, a cold front will move in and spark off a few showers and thunderstorms. Highs will remain in the 70s. During the weekend, a few stray rain showers are possible as some cool air continues to move in from Canada. There will be a better chance of rain on Tuesday. Labor Day is dry for now.
