This is my first fiberglass layup on the fuselage aft top. This piece of 1” thick foam was contoured as per plans down to .4” thick with smooth transitions out to within 2” of the edge.
This piece only calls for 1 ply of bidirectional cloth applied to the inner surface. The outter surface will be contoured later, after the fuselage is assembled with bulkheads.
