🎵😃🎵I ended my Canjo concert with a song I wrote a long long time ago in a land far far away in Northeastern Pennsylvania where I grew up. My daddy was a preacher & all my life I saw how my mom & dad used Gospel musicals & plays to help kids & adults learn about God’s love & redemptive plan of salvation. They always invited folks to be in the musicals, play in the band, sing in the choir, do a solo or share their testimony. Mom’s in heaven now, & dad still preaches from time to time and he’s only 86 years young! I really miss my friends too back home in that little white church that I grew up in & helped my mom & dad direct the Gospel musical productions. This song, which the lord helped me we write ✍️ talks about choosing Jesus and asking him into our hearts. I mostly played this song on guitar, but now I’m learning it on my one string Spam Canjo. It’s quite different, but easier than switching to my guitar in a show. I miss & thank my friends that sang back up on this song with me in the recording studio & in the 4 girl group we called THE SCARLET CHORD. We had fun singing in churches, fairs, nursing homes & other events in Poconos of Pennsylvania. Thanks so much Chris Spoonhower & Gretchen Thomas Ruddy & Mary Ann Olsomer. Pretty soon we will meet up in heaven & sing together in that heavenly band when Jesus comes soon. Love y’all.
