Condoleezza Rice to appear as co-host of ABC’s ‘The View’

Alabama native Condoleezza Rice will step into a new role as a co-host of ABC’s daytime talk show “The View,” the network has announced.
Rice spent her childhood in Birmingham and has said the city always will be near and dear to her.
Among her many career highlights: serving as provost of Stanford University and then as National Security Advisor and Secretary of State under President George W.
Bush.
(Bush later wrote in her name on his 2020 presidential ballot.)

According to ABC, “The View” will launch its 25th season on Sept.
7; moderator Whoopi Goldberg and co-hosts Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines will be back in the studio together for the first time in nearly a year and a half.
Ana Navarro will continue to make appearances as a guest co-host.
Rice will be part of “a lineup of conservative guest co-hosts” making appearances in the coming season.
