New York Mets' Javier Baez Gives the "Thumbs Down" to the Fans in a Highly Disrespectful Manner

It's one thing to blame your team for their troubles, it's another to turn on the fans; especially the Mets' faithful. Javier Baez, who has stunk for a minute, gave the 'thumbs down' gesture during a route of the 4A Team that currently constitutes the Washington Nationals Sunday. He came out and said that the gesture was directed to the fans and THEY need to "do better". Not Baez though, not the guy who is barely playing above replacement numbers, it's everyone else's fault the Mets are going to finish at or below .500 on the year with a Top 5 Payroll. Sandy Alderson, the Mets President, released a statement and excoriated the players who engaged in this insanity. Steve Cohen, shady owner himself has been in hysterics for the better part of the month also let known how he feels about the team.

It's one thing to suck, but to take it out on the fans for just booing? That's a level of softness that is reserved for the NBA. Hope Baez rides the pine for the rest of the year.
