Molecular Biologist Explains Why mRNA Covid Vaccines Should Not Be Mandated

Dr. Christina Parks Testimony For Michigan House Bill 4471 (HB4471) on August 19, 2021. Dr. Christina Parks, received her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of Michigan in 1999.

The HB4472 bill prohibits certain vaccinations, such as Covid-19 mRNA, from being mandated as a condition of employment in Michigan.

Dr. Parks explained that the vaccines should not be mandated because vaccinated employees can spread the virus the same as unvaccinated employees.

"We can not mandate something that does not prevent transmission," she said.

"Vaccine requirements and mandates are based on the faulty assumption that the vaccines in question prevent transmission of the pathogen. They were never designed to do that. They only attenuate symptoms...

"Recent studies have shown that the vaccinated -- especially with the delta variant -- and the unvaccinated have similar amounts of virus in their nose and throat."

She cited a recent study by the CDC that tracked a Covid outbreak of 469 cases in Massachusetts.

"74% of the cases occurred in fully vaccinated people and four out of five of those hospitalized were vaccinated."

She added:

"My main complaint is with our health agencies and the CDC who basically know better and are misleading the public."
