😲 Baby Turtle Seen Moving Inside Egg! 🐢

Candling a Box Turtle egg that has been incubating in a small plastic ware tub filled with dampened perlite, sitting on a cabinet shelf, and a 60 watt flood lamp mounted nearby for indirect heat. 2 of his siblings have already hatched 2 days ago. No special measures were taken to incubate them. Temp and humidity have not been maintained consistently, and I only have been making sure the eggs don't get colder than room temp, and that the perlite doesn't get too dry. I've hatched all kinds of reptiles in the past doing little more for them than putting them in a bowl or tub with perlite and putting them in a warmish room. They hatch for me at high rates all the time this way. I've found it unnecessary to be obsessive about keeping up with maintaining a certain temperature or humidity. They don't have such consistency in nature, so I don't see the need to obsess with incubation settings, when it comes to reptiles.
