Friday’s ‘wtf news’ came straight out of Uzbekistan, where researchers have claimed they’ve successfully created an edible Covid vaccine – in the form of a tomato.
The former Soviet republic is known for its rich fruit and vegetables, but we don’t think anyone saw this coming.
The scientists claim that patients can simply eat a tomato that has been injected with Coronavirus and that the tomato cells themselves will release antibodies that fight the virus.
