On Thursday August 26, 2021 a pair of suicide bombings rocked Kabul.

13 United States service members were killed in the deadliest day for American forces in Afghanistan since August 2011. 
Furthermore, 169 Afghans were killed according to two officials who spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Former President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, addressed the grieving families and our grieving nation soon after the attack.
