Central, KY has gotten so much rain over the past week that pools are turning green. The almost daily pop up showers along with heavy humidity and occasional sunshine are the recipe to create havoc on pools PH levels causing them to turn green. One local pool store said it has been a steady flow of customers coming in needing help with getting their pools back blue. Algae spores can be introduced to pools via raindrops which then reduces the active chlorine levels in your pool.
