"So you might have heard your mom, grandmother or your friend that's really into yoga and health say: 'did you know drinking hot water is actually healthy for you?' but is that actually true? Let's take a look. So here's what I've heard, drinking hot water helps you digest food better, hot water helps with constipation, hot water detoxifies the body, hot water gives you better skin, hot water helps decrease stress, but are these rumors? Is there any truth to it? Right away I'm going to tell you there is very little scientific evidence to prove that hot water is significantly healthier or better than room temperature water. However, here are some benefits that could be possibly associated with hot water. Supposedly hot water breaks down food faster therefore aiding with digestion and constipation - much like how a warm bath helps your blood get pumping, it's also said that hot water helps your blood circulation. Because of the better circulation it's said that your skin increases in elasticity and smooths out the wrinkles. Additionally, because of the better circulation supposedly makes you feel more calm and less stressed. Ah yeah, I feel so calm, but then again these are all rumors with no real scientific backing. So let's take this with a grain of salt. here's what's important - it doesn't matter if it's cold or hot, what's most important is that you're drinking water.
