"Kangen is a brand of water machines that has been around for a number of years. What's the difference between a Kangan machine and an Echo machine? Well it's really simple, Kangen machines were designed, developed and engineered to make alkaline water and to make very potent acid water with hypochlorous acid in it, and they do this very well. The Kangen machines make great acid water with chlorine gas and hypochlorous acid in them and it also makes alkaline water. But what it doesn't do very well is filter water from the toxins that are in water and it does not do well at making hydrogen gas. Kangen machines were designed to make alkaline water - well inside the machine they have electrodes, the negatively charged electrodes are called a cathode, this is how you make the alkaline waters off the cathode - the anode is where you get the acid water. The problem or the weakness in not just Kangen machines but all alkaline water machines on the market except for the one that we make, is calcium will build up on the cathode within two to four weeks. The harder the water that you have the faster the calcium builds up and once the calcium bonds to the surface of the cathode, the electrode, you can no longer dissolve hydrogen gas, you'll still make hydrogen gas and you'll see the bubbles but you won't be able to dissolve the gas and the problem with that is if the hydrogen gas is not dissolved it won't get into your gut and it won't get into your body to help you with benefits that you're looking for. So Kangen is not a good choice if you're looking to get hydrogen, unless you're going to clean the machine as they tell you you should in the warranty every two weeks - if you want to have hydrogen. Echo machines do not need to be cleaned every two weeks, they don't need to be cleaned at all to make hydrogen - they will always make hydrogen it's guaranteed and that's the entire design, in fact in the hydrogen machines that we make we don't change the ph of water when you're making hydrogen water, we do have a machine that makes alkaline water but to stop the calcium from bonding we have a patented process where we reverse the polarity of the electrodes every time the machine is turned on so it's impossible for the calcium to build up on the electrodes and this is why in the Echo Ultimate machine, you can always count on having hydrogen as well."
