ONLY 4,500 of those were American citizens, the rest were Afghan SIV applicants.

Blinken said there were initially 6,000 Americans who wanted to leave, and 500 additional Americans that came forward recently. He then has trouble with math so we'll help out here... That leaves at least 2,000 Americans left behind (not 500) that still need help getting out.
