Police Say The 22-Year-Old Man Pointed A Gun At A Man And A Woman And Demanded Money Before Being Shot.

OKLAHOMA CITY — A 22-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night after police said he allegedly tried to rob a couple in Bricktown.

Shortly before 10 p.m., police responded to a shooting near the Harkins Theatres off Reno Avenue.

"There was a man with a gun out there who made a choice to rob a couple as they were walking near the theater," said Master Sgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Police said Travis Prince, 22, pointed a gun at a 36-year-old man who was with his wife.

"He approached them, pulled out his gun, demanded their belongings," Knight said.

The 36-year-old man then pulled out a pistol and shot Prince several times, killing him. Police then interviewed the man who shot Prince.

"He was transported to the homicide office, where he was interviewed and then released," Knight said.
