Louis L'Amour was an impressive man. By the time he was 18 he had experience more than most would in their entire lives. As a child he heard many stories of the civil war and Indian wars by the veterans that actually fought them. Louis lived through the great depression. Later in his life Louis would write 100's of stories including his series "The Sacketts".
