Spirit Led - Pastor Nicholas

An idea is not Direction. A feeling is not a Leading. The Holy Spirit doesn’t Lead you with feelings. When the Spirit leads you it is with an unction, a quickening or a knowing in your spirit. He does not lead us through our thought life, which is that running conversation in your head. The inner voice of your thoughts is completely different from the Voice of the Spirit, who always speaks to you in your spirit not in your head. If you are taking direction from your Head, you’re being Head Led. That is never God and is not in the Bible.

The first thing you have to get right is the geography of the Inner Man, which is your Soul and your Spirit. They are different in themselves and they do different things. Your spirit is your conscience, the part of you that knows right from wrong, and good from evil. It is the part of each one of us that is most like God, for the Bible tells us that God is Spirit. We are made in His Image. You don’t have a spirit, you are a spirit – just like God. It’s important to be very clear about this difference between soul and spirit. They are both part of your Inner Man but they are not the same thing.

There are completely different words for soul and spirit throughout the entire Bible, in both Hebrew and Greek. There are completely different words in English as well, we’ve simply been trained for centuries to ignore the differences. It has cost the church dearly. Your soul is made up of your mind, will and emotions. None of them are Saved, they must be renewed daily with the Word. You can change your mind any time you choose to because you have free will. It is the way God made you. Emotion is not anointing, and there is no such thing as a Spirit Led mistake. God gave us emotions, He has them Himself, but they are never supposed to Lead us.

Pastor Nicholas my dear son in the faith opens in worship which every believer must learn, then teaches from one of my sermons. He has taught at our meetings twice a week for the last 10 years, and also oversees our 5 churches along the Rift Valley in Africa, as well as our pastors there who preach our sermons. Spirit is not Intellect. So this simple message will not dazzle your head but will instead test your heart, to see if you value what God has to say in the simple way He has chosen to say it. Put on some childlikeness and listen with your spirit not your head, or it will be impossible to get anything God has for you. This applies to everything in the Kingdom of God, which as believers we are already in.
