Lost in the wilderness

40 years the Israelites spun around in the wilderness. The Lord freed them from Egypt, gave them mana from heaven to eat, still they got weary and lost faith and began to worship idols. Then they had to have the smack laid down on them and the first generation did not get to see the promise land.

In my opinion we are in the wilderness right now.

Why do we deserve God's mercy? God really loves us in my opinion. The amount of folly we do but still get to live in the beautiful world, still get to be born.... It is humbling. I'm a sinner but the tools are available. The knowledge is available to limit some of of our folly.
