SA’s rooibos industry receives EU certification

The EU Ambassador to South Africa, Riina Kionka together with Western Cape Premier Alan Winde formally handed over a certificate to the Rooibos Industry signalling rooibos' inclusion in the European Commission's register for Protection Designation of Origin. Rooibos is the first African product to receive this designation, meaning that it will have the same protection that Champagne or Port wine.
