Why are doctors refusing to treat unvaccinated patients?

A recent rash of doctors refusing to treat unvaccinated patients (for transplants and other procedures) has many wondering, why? Are they legitimately worried about the stress put on the patients' immune system, or are there more worrisome reasons?
