The Taliban Has Thousands of U.S. Hostages!!, 3676

Good Sunday morning, I’m still reporting on the coup.

The Taliban have been gifted an entire country by Joe Biden, and it’s a pretty sweet gift.

Some people might not see Afghanistan as a prize, but it happens to be the country the Taliban wanted.

Along with the entire country, Biden also handed over a massive amount of the most technologically advanced military equipment, not just Humvees, armored vehicles and artillery but helicopters, jets, drones and night vision equipment.

According to Biden there are 75,000 Taliban fighters and according to sources, the Taliban were just given over 600,000 infantry weapons.
From a military technology standpoint, the Taliban advanced 75 years in a couple of days.

But then there is the country that the Taliban now has to run. The US has for the last 20 years not just been spending billions, although nowhere close to the $100 to $150 billion a day that Biden claimed - into military operations - it has also been propping up the economy with billions in economic aid.

It’s not likely the Taliban will feel the need to replicate the gender awareness programs which cost the American taxpayers untold billions, but the Taliban is going to need some cash to run their country.

They can certainly raise some funds by selling off military equipment to terrorists around the world, but why bother. The Taliban have - according to the current estimates - somewhere in excess of 100,000 hostages.

Nobody knows how many Americans are left in Afghanistan but the estimates are about 10,000 to 15,000. Then you add to that the 80,000 to 150,000 Afghans Biden has promised to get out.

It is unconscionable that Biden didn’t discover exactly how many Americans were in Afghanistan in the months leading up to the complete collapse of the country. He also should have put whatever resources were necessary to process the Afghans that the US was supposed to fly to freedom.

The chaos outside the airport in Kabul is out of Biden’s hands, but he owns the chaos inside the airport. People are not being flown out because they can’t be processed. It doesn’t take any paperwork to enter the country from Mexico, why does it require reams of documents to enter the US from Afghanistan?

A prudent leader would fill every plane with as many people as possible and sort out the paperwork later. But Biden is not prudent.

A prudent leader would also have prepared the airport for the mass of humanity that was coming. Food, water and shelter should have all been prepositioned at the airport.

So, the evacuation which, according to Biden, is going as planned, really isn’t, and unfortunately, there may not even be a plan. At the very least, we all know it is going to take a lot longer than the rosy estimates Biden is making.

But this is normal for Biden. He hasn’t been right about anything in Afghanistan since he entered Congress in 1973 – that’s 50 years ago. So, there is no reason to believe he is right about this.

The longer the evacuation takes the longer the Taliban have to figure out that they are allowing their meal ticket to slip through their hands. They need money. They have American citizens, America has money. It will be shocking if the Taliban leaders don’t start adding two and two together and coming up with four. All they have to do is start threatening to shoot down some planes and what is Biden going to do.

We have 6,000 troops at the airport equipped with the latest in military technology. The Taliban has 75,000 men – NOW - also equipped with the latest in military technology. The Taliban may not know how to use a lot of the military weaponry it now possesses but it won’t take long. You can bet your bottom dollar that the Russians and the Chinese are already in there jockeying for position to get their hands on this cutting-edge equipment, and they have the technologists who are quite happy to figure out how to use it.

According to Biden, Afghan soldiers who recently defected have revealed that they were well-trained on the use of the new US equipment.

There are multiple different scenarios possible, none of them good. What if a fully-ladened plane is shot down and the Taliban claims it was rogue group that acted on their own, but to assure that it won’t happen again the Taliban needs $100 billion or so to beef up security around the airport.
What will Biden do? Judging from his actions in the past, Biden would say that whatever the amount is a small price to pay for American lives.

What are 10,000 American lives worth? What options has Biden left himself if the Taliban decides not to play fair.

According to his statements, Biden trusts the Taliban, one of the most untrustworthy groups of terrorists in the world. That trust has gotten Biden where he is now, and it appears things on the ground are already getting worse. The Taliban right now is like the dog that catches the car, but unlike the dog, the Taliban is going to figure out exactly what it can do with an airport full of hostages and it won’t be pretty.

I’m still reporting from the soon-to-be-restored citadel of world freedom. Good day.
