Proteins are molecules made from amino acids, which are the body’s bricks and mortar for rebuilding muscle, replicating DNA, and catalysing metabolic reactions.
The physical body can biosynthesise some amino acids, but not all of them, so you would like protein in your diet to urge the remainder .
Like carbohydrates and fat, protein is classed as a macronutrient, which suggests it’s required in large amounts in your diet for your body to be ready to function properly.
